A Professional Service

Remember awhile ago we went to a studio for a photo shoot?? We just went to collect it from the studio and boy, don't u think the picture of us look fabulous???

Comparing it to another photo shoot that we had in Singapore, this is so much more professional and brilliant... Venture gave us this beautiful shot, framed up nicely for free. The other just merely gave us a CD-R with 2 not so pretty shots + some rude comments from the image consultant. After these 2 visits to the 2 professional photo studio, i realised something:

A professional service (Venture) will lead to fantastic (returning) customers. Even though there is no benefit if you refer this professional service to your friends, you as a free trial customer feels good recommending this professional service too. Whereas a lousy service (not Venture), offering incentives for recommending it, does not make us want to refer our friends to it, purely because we do not want our friends to expose themselves to a lousy service rendered.

Moral of the story:

Always treat your potential customers as if they are your customers. If they are satisfied with whatever you offered to them, even though this time round they have no money to buy it, one day when they have the money, they will come back to you.

I learnt it from Cycle and Carriage ( Mercedes distributor in Singapore ). They treat all their potential customers as if they have already bought one. I think this is the respect in sales line that should be displayed everytime without fail in any sales or retail stores.

"Army BBQ"

Tonight was the "Army BBQ"... Oh no, don't worry DnA haven't changed occupation!

We met up with Huppy's National Service Army buddies at Ling's Condo... Preparing food was quite easy, I must say, cos all the guys were generally carnivores! Basically - buy meat and lots of it and it will be finished! However, I made salad for the 3 girls - the healthy option.
Chit chatted and had some fun cos it was nice to forget work and stresses and act young again, talk about the past and the present and then the future. Although this group is relatively new to me and they are from all different backgrounds - I enjoy thier company, love listening to their stories and watching my Huppy laugh with them. I hope the army group will forever stay bonded as they once were in the Commandos (",)

Slight hiccup day B4 cruise trip!!!

*Fri 7th July 4pm:

DnA decide to be healthy and go swimming in the local outdoor swimming pool... Swimming lasts for 50mins.... I decided to leave the pool first and take my shower etc... When I finished I noticed lots of little red dots on my inner thigh but didnt think anything of it.... Bed time came....

*Sat 8th July am:

I woke up very itchy... put my glasses on... OH MY GOODNESS... my body was covered in this disgusting red dots... ok, let me help you picture it... Look at your thigh very carefully and closely. See all those hair follicles/pores? Imgaine those are all inflamed and red and raised... and that's the rash! My whole body was covered in this rash - except for my face (luckily) - or you wouldnt see me leave home!!!! Even my scalp was itchy!!! So i popped 2 loratadines and 1 cetirizine (Antihistamines -Dont try this at home!!!) - but No help.... So all day, ive been itchy and trying to cover myself as the sun seemed to make it worse.. so imagine.. itchy rash, but have to wear long sleeves/trousers or stay out of the sun - but where am I? Yip in sunny and humid singapore.... OH MY GOODNESS again!!!

Well, Ive been rattling my brain... what could the matter be? Allan seems to think that it was the Chlorine and chemicals in the swimming pool... He said he saw people cutting grass nearby.. so I assume the chemicals/grass or whatever has ended up in the pool and due to the chlorine opening up my pores has led to this reaction... Oh well, at least we're going on a cruise tomorrow to Lankawi and then Phuket... Just have to stay in air-con and avoid all sun for awhile!!!
