Finally the wedding is over!

The S&K Wedding.

After months of planning and preparations, Sissie and Kobe's wedding has finally come to an end. A happy and joyous occasion. It is not only the end of their wedding, it is also the beginning of their marriage.

Just wanna say to them, as of 17 June 2006, formally you guys are now a single entity. For the rest of your lives, as long as you do things for the benefit of this single entity, you will have a very very happy marriage. Thats it for now Mr and Mrs Chan.

Aftermath: Wow, i must say, the past 10 days has been fully utilised to the max, schedule was well packed, and so many events and activities. 2 main weddings events, (church and wedding breakfast + chinese wedding dinner) some short trips for relatives and friends around Cardiff, Bath, Salisbury, Bournemouth and London, and not forgetting the Hong Kong style BBQ in our back garden.

It would be difficult to blog on all the events that has happened during these past 10 days, but the conclusion is, everyone enjoyed themselves, especially Daisie' s dad.

Daisie's dad, (Dad) has been working hard to get to what it is today, a family of 8 (addition of Kobe 9), all the children are established in their career and studies. And now, the first child to branch out to start her own family, i think its probably the hardest thing to do for a parent, to let go of their offspring and let them fly on their own, of cos it is also a joyous occasion, becos knowing that your child is going to start his/her own family means he or she has found the love of his or her life.

Also with the presence of Dad's friends and relatives, he is very very very happy i must say, recollections of the good old days, the fun things they used to do, and calling each other by the nicknames since decades ago.. How time flies.. The BBQ was what he wanted since many months ago, and with the help of Maisie, the BBQ was a great success. Everyone had a great time, even though the BBQ grill style would be easier, no one really complained about having to hold on to the BBQ "stick" to cook their own food. Becos, it makes everyone sit around together and chit chat. Nice.

These are just some of the nice moments during the past few days, and they will continue to leave a chapter in all the lives of the people involved. 10, 20 years down the line, when everyone meet again, they will continue to talk about these 10 days as if it was yesterday once more..

Attached are some photos that i managed to capture and i think these pictures speak more than thousands of words.

PS. Special thanks to all who made these happen with a very positive and happy effect.

A Pleasant Discovery

This is the view that i normally would see whilst eating breakfast or lunch in the kitchen, a view into the garden. Lots of green, ( good for my eyes after long hours in front of computer ), lots of flowers etc..

And today a pleasant discovery, a nice feeling. Perhaps it was there for ages, but today is the 1st time i notice it. And yes, i was washing dishes if not i will not be able to see it at this angle.

The next photo will show the pleasant discovery and why it is a pleasant discovery.

Yes, the 2 most important things that money cannot buy, "Faith" and "Hope". Perhaps at this moment in time is what i need to believe in, faith and hope... For the past few weeks or even months, quite a lot of things happened and lots of ups and downs.. And to summarise, its has been i would say the toughest times so far in my life, and i m glad that my love endure this journey with me thru this rough times.. I thank her for that and that double confirms our definition of true love.

Now we have to start all over again ( business-wise ), from square one. Taking baby steps and hopefully soon be able to take bigger steps as we move along, and eventually reach our destination in the style that we desire. Miraculously, today upon seeing these 2 signs, i am abit touched and feel rather good because, i have a feeling my mother-in-law (to-be) has placed them there deliberately.

I mean, looking at the flower pots thru my kitchen windows, you can see that the signs are placed in such a way that the signs are facing straight towards the windows... Why didn't she placed it so that it faced parallel to the pot, or other directions?? Hence i thought she might have done that deliberately..

Why did she do that? I would never know, but all i know is, it is a nice gesture, and it has formed yet another jigsaw puzzle piece of my uncompleted picture. Without this piece, the picture will not be complete. Thank you mother-in-law (to-be) for this wonderful gift.

Remember my dear readers, money can't buy Faith and Hope, but it definitely can make a good gift, for encouraging another person. Take some time today to say/make something nice for your beloved.

Singlish Weekend....

This weekend we had a visitor... all the way from Huppy's home town - Singa!!! For a moment there - I completely forgot about the accent and slang as Huppy would speak "properly" due to no other influence...! However, it quickly came back when Ling came along... quite funny :) "Lah this, lah that..."

Had a fab time even tho being cussed big time... funny tho! "Dung Dixie"!!!! (shhh)

The Birdies Are Gone..

Remember the cute young birdies....

They have grown up and look exactly like their parents now.. Wanted to take a picture and show you guys.

Unfortunately..... They are gone!!! Daisie's dad has decided to give them away, as it is too much for him to handle, plus more maintenance and probably he just wants to concentrate on the 2 older ones.. give all the attention to the 2..

It was sad to know that he has given them away, but knowing that the birdies are in good hands now, we are very pleased.

I was told that most probably next spring, the birds will have more offsprings. And the excitment and anticipation of the newborn will once again relive the house.. When its the time next year, we will blog about it again.
